Crest of Kappa Tau Gamma
Kappa Tau Gamma ( Κ Τ Γ ), also known as "Kappa Tau" or "KT" is a fraternity in Cyprus-Rhodes University. It is well known for being the black sheep of the panhellenic system at CRU because of its reputation of being based heavily on partying. KT is the rival house of Omega Chi Delta. KT is well known for breaking campus rules, and tends to be a more casual fraternity.
Although KT is infamous for having its annual rush party, the members of KT don't attempt to impress and recruit pledges like most fraternities do. Instead, KT believes in what the members call "karmic-synergy" which is the belief that the people who rightfully belong in KT will come to them. Another unique trait of KT is that the actives give their pledges their own nicknames. Occasionally, a pledge's KT nickname will be their actual name, such as with Ben Bennet, Wade and Anthony Hopkins.

Traits[]
Though the KT house has required philanthropy hours, the members don't tend to go out of their to do more. Regularly, their schedule revolves around parties at night and sleeping during the day. The brothers tend to all nap in the living room, especially following large parties. They have a habit of jokingly applauding for girls who leave the morning after a night with one of the members. Though the house has a low reputation on campus as being unserious and messy, the members tend to be kinder than most other fraternities and fiercely protective of each other.
During rush week, the frat usually intimidates pledges by dropping a knife from the balcony of the stairs and forcing anyone with knowledge of the KT house to leave. The pledges who remain are welcomed into the backyard for a secret party, as parties are banned during rush week. The pledges who are given a bid will begin their time in KT with hazing: having to stay up all night in the backyard. Whoever falls asleep first is liable to be pranked, such as Rusty who had his feet dyed blue. The pledges are also given a nickname, typically by the president. The pledges are also assigned a Big Brother among the established members, becoming their Little Brother.
KT hosts an annual Vesuvius party during the fall semester, based around a giant volcano built by Egyptian Joe. The party is attended by most of the Greek houses. They are also known to have been at war with the Omega Chi house for years, revolving around retaliation pranks, though the members are free to be friends with each other.
